the interval of time between the announcement of my retreat and today, seven weeks later, has contained what i can only label “unusual circumstances.”
to respect the privacy of the individuals involved, i will not share details. but it’s been a rollercoaster ride that i did not experience the first four times around. and it has affected me deeply.
we talk a lot about feelings and emotions at THE ARRIVAL, and i am certainly not immune to the ups and downs of a fully-lived life. so i just allow my own emotional journey to serve as further material with which to share, to discuss, to compare this existence on earth. further evidence that we are all human and that we are all in this together. an added ingredient that has made my retreats meaningful in the past and will continue to enrich them in the future, including next month.
i’m leaving this sunday for italy. and three sundays later i will welcome a group of brave travelers into my home, villa magnolia. the result will be a magical moment in time that we all will remember.
