location: olympic national park

my second annual retreat ended on wednesday.
i spent both time alone and time with two members of my family during the five days.
i am still reflecting and processing, exposing and capturing.
i will report in, regarding insights gained, next week.
this week i’d simply like to share images . . .
have you ever taken a personal or business retreat?
what soothes your soul, inspires your mind, calms your body?

Thanks! I got a little bit of solo retreat just looking at your photos!! 🙂
i’m glad, tim. (and quite a compliment coming from such an accomplished photographer!)
Just returned from a 10-day excursion, four glorious days of writing followed by four days with my husband who met me for the second half of the trip. As much as I love his company, I am truly fed by solitude. Thank you for sharing your photos. Lovely.
yes, solitude suits me as well, sue ann. what writing retreat did you attend?
Mm. Gorgeous! I love your pics. Yes, I’ve taken personal and business retreats. I did a silent retreat once. That was interesting :). Nature is what soothes my soul, inspires me and calms my body . . . which is one reason I love your pics. It’s like home to me and it’s so refreshing, nourishing, nurturing and awe-inspiring.
i imagine your silent retreat was quite enlightening, leanne. (not sure i could pull that off! 🙂 ) it’s curious because i am not an outdoors enthusiast – nature is not my happy place. yet the five days held so very much . . .
Drive by love from the Blog Posse. Some of your images are absolutely stunning. The lighting and depth in the one of the fog and the road at the top is spectacular.
Yay self-expression through images!
thank you, dawn. it was definitely a stunning scene (wish my photo wasn’t through a streaked windshield though!).
Yes, I’ve taken solo personal and business retreats! They restore my soul.
I want to jump into your photos ala Mary Poppins. The one on the beach calls to me the most. Spectacular.
yes, definitely soul-restoring, michelle. and i’d LOVE for you to jump into my photos! (the beach was fabulous . . .)
After months of wedding whirlwind planning I am ready for some solitude. Love the photos April. Thanks for the reminder that we need alone time to recharge.
hope you reveled in the wedding festivities, dana. here’s to a revitalizing dose of solitude.
