sometimes, we feel overwhelmed.
at the perceived pains of our childhood.
and sometimes, as a result,
we are halted in our movement forward.
sometimes, we are struggling.
with a long-ago issue that still consumes us with sadness.
and sometimes, even more forcefully,
we respond with rage.
does this happen to you?
does it happen on a consistent basis?
then let me just say . . .
you have to let the past go, my dear.
you have to say goodbye to the anger.
by hanging on, you continue to hurt YOU.
and ONLY you.
no one else.
you are letting people or situations wound you.
again and again and again.
why are you giving these external sources so much power?
take that power back.
and use it as a driving force in your life.
anger is an intense emotion that can leave us feeling exhausted.
harness that intensity and transform it.
neutralize the rage.
into something that will elevate you.
not drain you.
[reminder]
you cannot control anything but your own reactions.
it’s a harsh reality but . . .
people who have hurt you in the past probably do not even remember.
maybe they don’t even care.
most likely they do not even realize.
exactly what they’ve set in motion.
do not allow them to ruin your adulthood too.
it’s not okay.
but it is what it is.
be strong.
move on.
or you simply will not heal.

take-aways? please pass on to others.
It’s simply not real! Others mirror to us the guilt within our own minds. This makes it all the easier to truly forgive whatever “happened” with the help of Spirit. Then rock your freedom!
martine – yes, we must look deeply within ourselves.
Thanks for this! So beautiful. So much compassion in your words.
thank you, jillian, for the sweet sentiment.
